Buying from them was a first rate experience in every respect. I purchased 2,000 square foot of their "special label" prefinished select grade European oak. It has been in place for about 2 months and it is a truly excellent product in both appearance and quality. I worked with salesperson Victor Chung who was extremely helpful. I had planned to buy a standard brand engineered wood (and they have the widest selection I have seen) but their "special label" engineered wood caught my eye and so happy I went with it. Very good selection of "Solid Hardwood.". You do not have to accept engineered flooring. This warehouse is worth the drive. The owner is present, knows where his stock is and is willing to share the reality of why some brands are more durable. We found exactly what we saught in a variety of finishes. My review is long overdue. I came across this place when I was doing an extensive house remodel couple years ago. I checked out more than a dozen floor stores from South City to San Jose and Whole Wood is the best in the peninsula, bar none. This place exceeds its competitors in all categories- in selection, quality, price and service. Few months ago, I went back to get more wood that I previously purchased for addition work to the house. I didn't have high expectations but they went out of their way to look for the exact wood that I got and really, my order was a small one. Convenient, decent selection, friendly staff. Wish they had more FSC certified products available. Show room is a bit cold and cramped, as it’s a warehouse, but better than some of the other showrooms around in terms of selection. Decent number of natural wax oil finish. -- Eva
